System settings · Day 51 score checkpoint
When does the game-speed setting unlock?
The short answer
The game-speed setting in ONE PIECE: Grand Gourmet becomes available after the morning-of-Day-51 score tally, which records the first 50 days. You do not need to reach the story ending first. Once the tally is complete, open System → Settings and check for the game-speed option.
A missing speed setting early in a save is different from low frame rate or dialogue that advances automatically. Check which kind of speed you want to change before looking for a fix.

Reach the score tally, then reopen Settings
- Check the current in-game day. The speed option is not available immediately at the start.
- Continue operating through the first 50 days and complete the score tally on the morning of Day 51.
- Open the menu's System area, then Settings. Inspect the newly available game-speed control and choose the pace you prefer.
- Return to play and check the simulation pace. The score tally does not require you to stop playing or start a new save.
Game speed, text AUTO and low FPS are different
- Game speed changes the pace of in-game time and character activity after the unlock.
- Text AUTO concerns automatic progression of certain text. Official Steam 1.0.7 added an ON/OFF choice for that feature; it is not the Day-51 speed unlock.
- Low FPS or stuttering concerns performance. Unlocking a faster simulation is not evidence that a controller or graphics problem has been repaired.
If the option is still missing
Before Day 51, continue to the tally instead of chasing the story ending as a speed-setting prerequisite. On Day 51, finish the score sequence before reopening Settings.
If you have completed the tally and the control is still absent, record the day, platform, version and settings screen. The reviewed sources do not establish a reset procedure or a different platform-specific unlock threshold. Game8's illustrated button path uses Nintendo controls; those buttons are not Steam keyboard instructions.
✓ How to check the result
The game-speed control appears after the tally and the selected pace takes effect when play resumes. Your game can continue beyond the score checkpoint.
