What to check when buffet dishes keep running out
The short answer
For buffet stockouts in ONE PIECE: Grand Gourmet, Game8 recommends narrowing the offered dishes with the per-dish ON/OFF controls once that feature is unlocked, and increasing the number of assigned cooks. Check both the dishes offered and the kitchen's staffing capacity. A recipe you have learned can still run out during service; creating another set-menu slot does not by itself replenish buffet stock.
Start with the dish that is actually reaching zero. This is a supply problem at the buffet, distinct from a grey New Dish ingredient, an undiscovered recipe or a full set-menu list.

Narrow the offered list when the controls are available
- Inspect the buffet's dish list during service and identify which offered items are out of stock.
- If your current buffet screen has per-dish offering controls, temporarily turn selected dishes OFF instead of keeping the full learned list active. Game8 describes these controls becoming available through progression; it does not supply a fixed unlock day.
- Let service continue and compare availability among the remaining offered dishes. Change a small part of the list so you can tell which adjustment you made.
- Restore dishes when the cooking supply supports the intended offering. A dish deliberately switched OFF is unavailable by choice, so do not count that as another unexplained stockout.
Inspect kitchen slots and the day a staffing change takes effect
- Open Management's Staff feature and inspect the kitchen assignments, rather than increasing floor workers as a substitute for cooks.
- Choose an eligible kitchen worker for an available slot and meet the displayed hiring requirement. Some customers are suitable for kitchen work; not every floor worker can fill that role.
- If kitchen slots are full, inspect Sanji's available requests for the documented slot-expansion route. The source does not give a universal level or day for each request.
- Check the next day's start before judging the new assignment: Game8's staff guide says staffing changes take effect then, with substitutes working on the change day. Observe buffet availability again after that checkpoint.
Read the result without guessing at a penalty or fix
- No offering toggles yet: keep the feature's progression limit in mind and use the staffing checks; no hidden unlock shortcut is established here.
- A dish is OFF: re-enable it when you want to offer it again, then observe its stock.
- New cook not visibly working today: check next-day activation instead of immediately repeating the hire.
- Stock remains at zero after the intended settings and assignments apply: preserve the dish list, roles and version for a specific support report. The sources do not establish a reset or reinstall repair.
✓ How to check the result
The dishes you intend to offer replenish and remain available during the service you observe. The useful result is actual stock availability, not simply a larger learned-recipe list or a new employee notification.
