How to raise a dish above level 99

The short answer

To raise a dish above Lv99 in ONE PIECE: Grand Gourmet, use Rare Ingredients in Robin's break-room dish-improvement feature. The reviewed player guides put the normal-ingredient cap at Lv99 and the rare-ingredient cap at Lv999. First recruit Robin and place her break room; if you have no rare material, continue exploring rather than repeatedly applying ordinary ingredients at the cap.

Some later customer requests need a dish above Lv99. Increasing a set's price or choosing a high-Tastiness combination does not by itself satisfy a dish-level requirement.

Open Robin's dish improvement

  1. Recruit Robin in the second sea through Cobra's information and her poster.
  2. Complete the request for Robin's break room and place it. Select the room to access dish improvement.
  3. Choose the dish you intend to improve, then inspect the ingredient and result preview before confirming. Improvement consumes materials.
  4. When ordinary ingredients no longer take that dish beyond Lv99, use an appropriate Rare Ingredient and check the resulting level.

For a customer request, check the main dish

Nanoblog's request guidance says a Set Menu dish-level condition is checked through its main dish. Verify both the required food type and that dish's level before submitting the request.

A set can have a high price but insufficient Tastiness, or high Tastiness but the wrong dish level. Read the named field rather than substituting one number for another. A Lv99 requirement does not itself need a level-cap breakthrough; a requirement above 99 does.

If Rare Ingredients are not available yet

Continue unlocking and checking exploration destinations for rare material. The sources recommend bringing Robin on trips when seeking ingredients, but they do not establish a guaranteed rare drop, quantity or fixed number of expeditions.

Before Robin's room is available, selling dishes in Set Menus provides a slower level-up route. That does not establish that ordinary sales bypass the ingredient cap; use the visible level and improvement preview to check your current situation.

If the displayed level still does not change

  • Confirm you selected the intended dish, not another main dish with a similar name.
  • Check that the material is the rare variant and that the improvement preview actually shows a gain before spending it.
  • Recheck the request's food category and main dish after improvement. If the preview or cap differs, keep the platform/version and both screens; this guide is not evidence that your save needs resetting.

✓ How to check the result

The intended dish's level rises above 99. If you were meeting a request, also confirm that its required food category and level are accepted.
